Cotton opens its doors at Goods Yard this July – and the brews are on them

The wait is nearly over… Cotton, the new coffee spot at the heart of Goods Yard, officially opens its doors on Saturday 5th July. And to celebrate, they’re serving up free hot drinks all day long. Yep, coffee, tea and everything in between… on the house.

Expect more than just a caffeine fix. Cotton’s menu will be made up of fresh bakes, cakes, pastries and cold drinks, with the whole space designed for lounging, working or catching up with mates, just a few steps from Stoke-on-Trent station.

Set within the ground floor of Capital&Centric’s Goods Yard development, the café is the first piece of the neighbourhood to open its doors. It’ll be serving locals, commuters, creatives and residents in a space packed with exposed brick, terrazzo counters and laidback vibes.

Tom Wilmot, Joint Manager Director at Capital&Centric, said:
“Goods Yard is all about creating a new destination for Stoke-on-Trent, a place where people want to live, work and hang out. Cotton’s opening gives a taste of what’s to come, and we’ve still got some brilliant commercial spaces available for likeminded operators who want to be part of something a bit different. Whether it’s food, drink, retail or wellness, we’re looking for independents that add to the energy.”

Chris Griffith, Founder of Cotton, said:
“We’ve poured a lot of love into creating Cotton, it’s a space that’s all about quality, comfort and community. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee on the go or sticking around for a slice of cake and a chat, we want it to feel like a proper little haven in the heart of Stoke. We’re buzzing to get it open and welcome everyone on Saturday 5th July in for a brew on us.”

Cotton’s regular opening hours will be:

  • Monday to Friday: 8am-4pm

  • Saturday & Sunday: 9am-4pm

Goods Yard is Capital&Centric’s £60m neighbourhood next to Stoke-on-Trent train station, featuring design-led rental homes, spaces for independent businesses and the soon-to-open foodhall in the locally-listed Vaults.
